Please secure cards in a deck box, fat pack, hard case, or multi-row card container to avoid damage during shipping
1. Take advantage of your local FedEx, DHL hub, UPS store, or USPS office and allow an experienced shipping expert to assist you with packing and shipping your collection
2. Before packing & shipping, count and note the total number of cards in the shipment. Use this number to identify your sorting bracket and place your order through our site
3. Pack your cards in a way to ensure safe shipping, see up, down, left, and right for tips
4. Email us your tracking number! We are on the edge of our seat! We recommend using the couriers pick-up/drop-off locations instead of residential homes.
5. Worried something might happen in transit? These are indeed interesting times. Insure your shipment! We cannot be held responsible for the actions of 3rd party delivery agencies any more than you can 😉
6. Please, NO: Tape, staples, rubber bands, zip ties, or anything else that could damage or scratch the surface of your cards. No liquids! Why would there ever need to be liquids?! Why do you want us to cry!?
7. If using the spacer sponges, be aware that some sponges can scratch the surface of cards if there is a lot of movement and shifting in transit. To avoid this make sure the cards in contact with the sponges directly are sleeved, or the sponge itself is wrapped in a non-scratch material.
8. Heavy boxes can be expensive to ship and hard to handle, smaller boxes that are easy to move are preferred to overstuffing one large box. If it is difficult for you to carry, it is likely too difficult for us to as well. And the courier who has to deal with a giant overstuffed box may not be too happy about it either.
9. You can remove extra space within the box by adding Styrofoam, packing peanuts, paper stuffing, and other packing materials. We of course are partial to recycled and biodegradable packing materials whenever possible but please do NOT use newspaper or newsprint (junk mail) as it can rub ink off onto...well...everything, including us! Removing any space between the items is important because it helps to prevent the courier accidentally causing damage to your items before they even get here.
10. We love a box in a box, a box wrapped in bubble wrap and then placed into another box is even better. The local experts at your preferred shipping hub are the best resource to consult on how to pack up collections like this. They have everything you need on-site from bubble wrap and packing peanuts to sturdy boxes and printable shipping labels.
Drop-off and pick-up available for the Chicagoland area, logistics will always be finalized in writing and approved before the process begins.
